BTG România — a website for a building services design practice

The home page is built as one continuous run: what they do, on what kinds of building, why it is simpler to integrate the BMS at the design stage than afterwards, frequently asked questions, contact. The portfolio sits separately, with its own address, so it can be sent as a link in an email to a client.

A project for an industrial hall and one for a hospital are not discussed the same way. We split the offer across four lines — commercial and office buildings, industrial buildings, hotels and conference centres, hospitals and medical institutions — each with its own stake written out plainly: energy consumption, process automation, guest comfort, critical equipment.

Every project has its own page and says what was actually designed: access control, video surveillance, data and voice network, intruder and fire detection, sound systems, electrical, plumbing and heating installations. They are identifiable jobs — the Neptun refurbishment, the Exonia hall, the Mihai Eminescu National College, the extension and fit-out of the emergency unit at the Sfânta Maria Children's Hospital in Iași.

The site is a React application with scroll-linked animation. We used movement to lead the reading: the sections come in one after another, in the order that makes sense to go through them. The project sheets are held in the same structure, so the portfolio can grow without the site being rebuilt.
