About the project

Edu-Net Academy is a Romanian start-up that brings teachers and learners together, wherever they are. Anyone with a skill can publish a course, and learners sign up for the free courses or buy a single course through the platform's basket. The model Edu-Net has in mind also includes monthly or yearly subscriptions. They needed a site that was at the same time a course platform, a shop window for the project and material for conversations with investors.

01

The course platform

The site has two kinds of account, instructor and learner, each with its own sign-up. Instructors build their course into topics and lessons and can also hold live sessions, while learners have a shopping basket and a profile of their own. The formats run from video and text to audio and podcast, depending on how each person prefers to teach.

02

The About page

The About page is more a dossier than an introduction: the target audience, the uses, the benefits of the platform, the team behind it, the stages of the project and the call to investors. We broke it into sections with anchors, so each part can be opened straight from the menu or sent separately as a link. That way the same page works both for a teacher who wants to publish and for somebody assessing the project.

03

The blog and the events

Beyond the courses, the platform publishes articles, presentations, podcasts and event announcements — conferences, workshops, courses with a fixed date. We put them in separate categories, so an event announcement does not get lost among the articles. Events stay in the archive once they are past and show what is actually happening around the platform.

04

Support and the legal side

The site also has the pages usually left until last: how to publish a course, how to run a live session, terms and conditions, the privacy policy, the cookie policy, plus the links to consumer protection and to the European dispute resolution platform. For a site that takes money for courses, that part is not optional.

How it looks on a phone

More than 9 in 10 people open a website on their phone, so that is where it is decided. These screens come from the site as it runs today.

The platform is online, with courses published and instructors who have their own profile. It grows from here with every course added.
