Ecologica2000 Italia — Waste Management
About the project
Ecologica 2000 handles the collection, transport and recovery of special waste in Italy, with its offices and yard in Settimo Milanese, near Milan. The company has been in the field since 1972 and has its own authorised plants for storage, sorting and recovery. WTS Trade and BSP belong to the same group, and we built the sites for all three.
The website
The site is in Italian and speaks to companies and institutions that have to dispose of waste legally, not to the general public. The first question such a client asks is whether the supplier's permits are in order, so the certifications have their own page, one click from the main menu. The rest of the navigation follows the actual services: disposal of special waste, pallet recovery and sale, consultancy.
The three companies in the group
The group has three companies — Ecologica 2000, WTS Trade and BSP — which together cover waste management, wooden pallet recovery and specialist consultancy. We built a group section on the site that leads to each company, so a client who came for one service can see they can get the rest as well. Each company then has its own site, built on the same logic and with the same structure.
The services and the fleet
Besides the service pages, the site has a section for the vehicles, because in this field owning your own fleet is a commercial argument. We also put the geographic reach in plain view: the company works directly in Lombardy, Emilia Romagna and Piedmont, and reaches the whole of Italy through certified partners. The contact details, the addresses of the sites and the legal pages sit grouped in the footer, on every page.
How it looks on a phone
More than 9 in 10 people open a website on their phone, so that is where it is decided. These screens come from the site as it runs today.
All three sites look the same and lay things out the same way, even though Ecologica 2000 has several pages while WTS and BSP have one each, which makes the group easy to recognise from one company to the next. For Ecologica 2000 we worked on the website.
