About the project

Lucia Roșca is the brand of the designer Lucia Alexandra Roșca, started in 2016 in Bucharest: a ready-to-wear line and dresses made to order, cut in the studio in the centre of town. The online shop already existed, but it was no longer keeping up with what the brand sold or with how people were reaching it. We rebuilt it from the ground up, along with the whole path somebody takes from the first page to the order placed.

01

The shop

The catalogue is split by category — dresses, tops and shirts, skirts and trousers, coats and jackets, accessories, gift cards — so people get quickly to what they are after. Products have variants, and for individually cut pieces the measurements are asked for after the order is placed, exactly the way the studio works. The descriptions say what needs knowing before buying: the composition, how the piece is cared for, where it is made.

02

The buying journey

We took the whole route, step by step: the product page, choosing the variant, the basket, the delivery details, payment, confirmation. Wherever people were stopping, we put the answer on the page: the size guide next to the variants, the return conditions under the product, the note that a message follows the order on made-to-measure pieces. The customer account, the search and the gift cards are part of the same flow, and the terms, the privacy policy and the consumer protection links sit where they belong, in the footer.

03

The collections

Every collection has its own page — Babylon Noir, Les Nanas, King of Sorrow, Bittersweet, Alice, Portraits, Granddaughters. That is where Lucia's own words about what lay behind the collection sit, with quotes and with the idea explained, and from the story you go straight into the pieces that can be ordered. It is the most natural move from why you like something to where you buy it.

04

The studio and the appointments

Beyond the shop, the site has the studio side: the made-to-order commissions, with the process explained from consultation and sketches through to fittings, and the Heritage section, where family textiles are turned into clothes that can be worn again. The appointments page has the address in central Bucharest, the opening hours and the things worth knowing before a visit. Each has its form or its contact details to hand, so the conversation starts from the page.

How it looks on a phone

More than 9 in 10 people open a website on their phone, so that is where it is decided. These screens come from the site as it runs today.

The shop now works as an extension of the studio: somebody arriving from Instagram or from a show finds the piece, orders it or books an appointment. New collections are added on top of the existing structure, with no need to rebuild.
