About the project

World Trade Service (WTS) is a company in Settimo Milanese, near Milan, that collects used wooden pallets, repairs them and puts them back into circulation. It belongs to a group alongside Ecologica 2000, which handles waste management and recycling, and BSP, which does consultancy in the same field. They asked us for a site that would show WTS's own work and, at the same time, its link to the rest of the group.

01

The website

It is a single page, in Italian, meant to be read top to bottom: who they are, what they do, how the process runs, how to ask for a quote. The menu leads to the same sections, so somebody landing straight on Contatti is not walked through other pages. The tone is sober, right for people buying logistics services.

02

The services

The page has four numbered blocks: three for what the company does — waste collection, pallet recovery and sale, and the regeneration itself — and one for the advantages of a regenerated pallet. Each has a short explanation, in their own words. The process is described step by step — collection from companies and distributors, inspection, repairing or replacing parts, cleaning — so a warehouse manager understands straight away what can be asked for.

03

The group

A separate section explains which group WTS belongs to and what each company in it does. We put it on the site because, in conversations with large companies, the group behind you counts as much as the service itself. From the same section you reach Ecologica 2000, for anyone who needs the waste management side.

04

The quote request

At the end of the page there is a short form — name, company, email and a note — for anyone who wants a price. Next to it we put all the contact details: the phone lines, the fax, the email address and the two addresses, the offices and the plant. The phone number sits beside the form, for anyone who would rather ring directly.

How it looks on a phone

More than 9 in 10 people open a website on their phone, so that is where it is decided. These screens come from the site as it runs today.

Home page

For a logistics company that is all it takes: it explains the service plainly and leaves the quote request one step away. The rest happens on the phone, the way it always has in this field.
