An online shop for motorcycle parts and gear, for Revo
About the project
Revo sells spare parts, accessories and gear for motorcycles, scooters and quad bikes, through the piesemoto.ro shop. Their stock is large and very fragmented: from engine kits and crankshaft assemblies to dashboard bulbs, variator rollers or electric scooter inner tubes. We built the site starting from the catalogue, because that is where it all plays out — if people cannot find the part, it does not matter how good the rest looks.
The online shop
We started from the way somebody actually looks for a part: rarely by brand, almost always by the type of component. The home page brings new products and a selection of recommendations to the front, and every product carries its category next to the title, so visitors know where they have landed. The current price sits alongside the recommended one, and out-of-stock products stay visible and marked as such, rather than disappearing from the list.
The structure of the catalogue
The catalogue is split along the shop's main lines — riding gear, accessories, spare parts, electrical and electronic components, tyres and inner tubes — and beneath those it goes right down to the individual part: brake pads, clutch cables, oil seals, sprockets, filter elements. Tyres and tubes are organised directly by size, in inches, because that is how people look for them. On top of the categories we put a tag system for those who start from a general need: brakes, transmission, quad bike parts, riding gear.
What needs knowing before ordering
The commercial conditions sit at the top of the page, not buried in the footer: the free delivery threshold, the extended return period and the additional discount on larger orders. The questions that come up on a first order have their own pages — how to buy, payment methods, shipping and returns, frequently asked questions — plus the links to consumer protection and to the European dispute resolution platform. The customer account keeps the order history and the list of favourites, useful for anyone who comes back seasonally for consumables.
How it looks on a phone
More than 9 in 10 people open a website on their phone, so that is where it is decided. These screens come from the site as it runs today.
The result is a shop where the whole catalogue is visible but can be gone through in small pieces. The structure takes new categories as the stock widens, without any need to reorganise.
