About the project

Studio Vezzosi works out of Milan in bulk materials handling. On one side it produces wear-resistant components in pure alumina, for plants that abrasive materials pass through; on the other it represents on the Italian market manufacturers of equipment for pneumatic conveying, grinding, screening and vibrating conveying, dosing and industrial cleaning. Two different activities, with the same kind of heavy-industry client, that had to fit on one site without getting mixed up.

01

The two activities, separated in the menu

The production of wear-resistant components and the industrial agencies each have their own section, with their own listing. An engineer looking for a wear-resistant part does not go through the equipment catalogue, and the other way round. The home page introduces both briefly and sends you on, without forcing anybody to read the part that does not concern them.

02

A site in three languages

There are Italian, English and Russian versions, switchable from the same place. The company works with manufacturers outside Italy and with sectors — mining, chemicals, fertilisers, recycling — where technical correspondence is rarely conducted in a single language.

03

The news section

The site has a news area they update themselves and actually use: new agency mandates, manufacturers changing their name or brand, products and technical improvements. For a company that lives on agencies, that is the information showing what they have in their portfolio now, not a few years ago.

04

The team, the sites and the form

The people appear with names and roles, from management and sales through to the workshop, because in a company this size the client rings a person, not a department. All three addresses are given — the head office in Milan, the operating site in Seriate and the office in Costigliole d'Asti — and the enquiry form has the consent boxes required in Italy.

More than 9 in 10 people open a website on their phone, so that is where it is decided. These screens come from the site as it runs today.

The site answers the two questions separately: what they produce and who they represent. The rest — news, team, sites — is there so you know who you are talking to before you ring.
