A personal website for Bryan Mesnager
About the project
Bryan Mesnager asked us for a personal website, in French, tied to the commune of Douchy-les-Mines in northern France. His project is called "Pour Douchy-les-Mines" and speaks to the people there. We built the site on its own domain, in his name.
The website
We started from a domain in his name, so the address would be easy to remember and to say out loud to somebody. We wrote the content in French, for the people in the commune. We went with a simple build, easy for the client to update without ringing us every time.
The message of the project
"Pour Douchy-les-Mines" appears as the title of the site, in the header and in the footer, worded the same way everywhere. It is not a design decision but a practical one: whoever opens the page has to know straight away what it is about and who it is for.
The local audience
With a single commune involved, the tone and the amount of text settled themselves: little, direct, no filler pages.

Bryan had an address in his own name, for a project tied to the community in Douchy-les-Mines. The domain has since expired, so the project remains recorded only here.
